UG_IO SimSys OpenFOAM polyMesh 3D Grid File Type
An OpenFOAM polyMesh file contains a volume grid comprised of generally defined cells (not confined to hex or degenerate hex). The cells are defined by faces which which are also general (not confined to trias and quads). The output file case_name.foam is always empty and the grid data is actually written to the files points, faces, owner, boundary, and neighbor. See OpenFoam related documentation for more information. OpenFOAM polyMesh type grid files are only supported for output files.
