UG_IO SimSys MESH 3D Grid File Type
A MESH file contains a tria/quad face boundary surface grid and (optionally) a polyhedral element volume grid. This file type is supported by the Gamma Project of INRIA. The LIBMESH I/O library libmesh from INRIA is used to support the the MESH file type. Format for MESH type files is set by the suffix. Files with a ".mesh" suffix are ASCII formatted and those with a ".meshb" suffix are binary (LIBMESH version 2 for 32-bit executables and version 3 for 64-bit executables).
