Software Technology at the ERC SimCenter

UNCLE and U2NCLE CFD codes are available through ONR for ship, submarine, and propulsor analysis. U2NCLE is also available for DoD related analysis of missile systems.

MSU_TURBO CFD code (an UNCLE derivative) is used by NASA and US industry as a standard code for jet engine analysis.

AFLR unstructured grid generation software is widely used for aerospace, automotive, and naval applications. AFLR libraries are implemented directly within research, commercial and proprietary systems: SolidMesh, HyperMesh, and Boeing-MADCAP.

LOCI adaptive software system that responds to changing conditions at the algorithm, application, and system levels. LOCI based CHEM code with finite-rate chemistry is used by NASA-Marshall for Shuttle and propulsion system analysis.

Simcenter Software Forum

The SimCenter Software Forum provides users of SimCenter software a means to ask questions, submit enhancement requests, and report any bugs they find in the software. Any and all users are encouraged to register. Certain users may also be granted permission to download the software. The information required to request download access is listed below. It is recommended that only a single user per site request download permissions to avoid installation problems.

SimCenter software is available under a Research License through the ERC SimCenter. Availability is determined on a case by case basis. A Research License may be requested on the SimCenter Software Forum registration page. The Research License request should include a short description of the research project, grid generation requirements, and who you work for and/or with on the subject research. Research Licenses are only provided to permanent employees of an academic or government institution. Students should have their advisor request the Research License. In general, Research Licenses are not provided to commercial companies except for short-term evaluation or if there is a related collaborative research effort or research grant/contract. Inquiries related to Commercial Licenses should be directed to David L. Marcum. SimCenter software is not distributed outside the United States under a Research License as it is restricted by export regulations and laws.
