The USS_U2NCLE HOW-TO's
|
|
The purpose of the USS_U2NCLE
HOW-TO's is to provide guidance on tasks that the flow solver
will typically be used for. As such, the HOW-TO documents give targeted
documentation to enable the user to accomplish one of these tasks in
a short amount of time.
The available HOW-TO's are given below:
- A Sample Case: Start to Finish
Follow the process of constructing a geometry, generating the grid,
computing a solution, and visualizing the results for a small
sample case.
- UVI's: Embedding Rotating Components
Learning how to apply UVI technology to solve problems with propulsors
that are attached to a main geometry.
- Simulating Propulsors via Actuator Disks
Learning how to build a grid with an embedded actuator disk (body force plane)
so that this capability can be used in the solver.
- Free Surface Computations via Grid Movement
How to handle computations with a free surface by the method of
moving the grid to conform to the free surface location.
- Free Surface Computations via Surface Capturing
How to handle computations with a free surface by the method of capturing
the surface location as a part of the combined air/water solution.
- Maneuvering Bodies
How to set up components and bodies to allow a body to maneuver under
control of a SIXDOF model.
