MSU TURBO Release Notes
All versions of MSU TURBO, TURBO, GUMBO, and supporting web-based materials are copyrighted. They are made available by Mississippi State University for use only as designated by the U.S. Government and are not to be reproduced or distributed except as authorized by the U.S. Government or Mississippi State University. All versions of MSU TURBO, TURBO, and GUMBO are subject to both U.S. Critical Technologies Export Controls and Other Restrictions arising from US Government Contracts.

What is TURBO and MSU TURBO ?

TURBO is a scalable parallel compressible turbomachinery flow simulation code that solves the Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equations for turbomachinery geometries represented by multiblock structured grids with arbitrary block connectivity. It is being developed by the Computational Simulation and Design Center (SimCenter) at the Engineering Research Center (ERC) at Mississippi State University (MSU). TURBO_P.V3 is a beta version production code that has evolved over the past few years under support from NASA Glenn Research Center, US Army Research Office, GE Aircraft Engines, and Honeywell Engines Systems and Services, and it is continuously being extended and improved.

MSU TURBO is a graphical user interface for using the TURBO code. It includes various tools that simplify the use of TURBO for the analysis of turbomachinery design: GUMBO (Graphical Unstructured MultiBlock Omnitool), which is a graphical preprocessor for grid and boundary condition information needed by the flow solver, and the Online Documentation are tools which can be launched from the MSU TURBO interface. The graphical capacity to define and set input parameters can be performed directly in the MSU TURBO interface.
NOTE: TURBO, and MSU TURBO are works in progress and will be continuously enhanced over time.

CRITICAL TECHNOLOGY EXPORT CONTROLS: All versions of MSU TURBO and TURBO are subject to US critical technologies export controls. All access and use of MSU TURBO and TURBO must be approved by cognizant governmental officials.
RIGHTS IN DATA: This software has been delivered to the US Government with restricted rights under government contracts. The use, reproduction, or disclosure is subject to restrictions set forth in these contracts and governing federal "Rights in Data" contract clauses.
