What's New in SolidMesh v4.4
reader and writer has been
updated to better import and export 3rd party IGES files.
Picking has been changed for increased
ease of use and functionality. Additional Pick Limits
All, Mesh, and Group have been added. The ability to pick through a
selected object has also been added.
Additional information is provided in the Message Window when an entity is selected:
- Vertex/Point: Id and type
- Curve: Id and type
- Surface: Id, type, and group association
- Group: Boundary condition and grid size information
Automated alignment of trimming loops. An automated procedure to
that automatically splits trim curves to create a topologically valid, water-tight geometry to
within a specified tolerance. The automated alignment feature
is accessed by the ^w (Ctrl-w) hot-key since there is no button for this feature. This
functionality may require multiple Trim and Glue
operations to be successful. Note that this is Beta functionality.
New volume grid generation boundary condition,
Transparent-Delete, added. The boundary condition is
similar to the Transparent boundary condition, except that the
transparent surface is not retained in the volume grid.
The ability to specify a
variable initial spacing distribution to a surface. Color contours of the
initial spacing distribution can be generated to check
the distribution.  Currently this functionality is limited and applicable only to surface grids.
Color display added to show the color
selected before it is applied.
Filename length increased to 1024 characters.
Expression evaluation added to the
Multiply Point Spacing,
Initial Normal Spacing text fields.
Problems with the Grid Visualization quality
measures have been corrected.
Corrected problems when translating, mirroring, rotating, or scaling parametric
curves. A copy of the surface associated with each parametric curve was written to the IGES file
resulting in multiple copies of the same surface.
Corrected problem with group names containing white space.
Corrected gui-related bug when inquiring about U2NCLE and Fluent
flow solver boundary conditions.
Corrected problem with the cursor management when creating cutting planes.
Trimming IGES-tagged periodic surfaces.
